Federal Grants
Federal Grants, unlike Loans, do not have to be repaid. Federal Grants have varying award criteria but are considered a foundation of financial aid upon which other federal or non-federal sources might be added.
Grants have varying maintenance requirements. Some include but are not limited to:
- Minimum enrollment requirements (including prorated amounts depending on enrollment,
- minimum Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements,
- maximum award,
- award based on financial need,
- award based on Total Cost of Attendance,
- degree sought, and
- submission deadlines.
