Notre Dame of Maryland University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (MSCHE) and by the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) and Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC).
Notre Dame of Maryland University's School of Business was granted full accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs (ACBSP) in April 2017.
Notre Dame of Maryland University’s School of Education was granted full reaccreditation status by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) in 2013.
Notre Dame of Maryland University’s School of Nursing was granted full accreditation status for the baccalaureate and master's degree programs in Nursing by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) in 2017.
Notre Dame of Maryland University’s School of Pharmacy was granted full accreditation status by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the official accrediting body of pharmacy preparation programs at U.S. colleges and universities, in 2013.
