Federal Grants

Federal Grants, unlike Loans, do not have to be repaid.  Federal Grants have varying award criteria but are considered a foundation of financial aid upon which other federal or non-federal sources might be added.  

Grants have varying maintenance requirements.  Some include but are not limited to:

• Minimum enrollment requirements (including prorated amounts depending on enrollment,
• minimum Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements,
• maximum award,
• award based on financial need,
• award based on Total Cost of Attendance,
• degree sought, and
• submission deadlines.
