Presents an overview of the history and development of art theory and criticism from antiquity to the present. The course explores a wide range of art forms and ideas from traditional art to controversial contemporary art and art censorship. With the knowledge gained through the study of aesthetic evolution, students will assess the art of the 20th and 21st centuries, and formulate critical judgments and aesthetic positions of their own.
