CST-150: Practical AI for Everyone

Explores the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence, including its history, basic mechanics, and societal impact, while gaining hands-on experience with modern AI tools that support creative problem-solving, research, and real-world applications. Examples include generative AI for writing, analysis, and media creation, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) for connecting AI systems to trustworthy sources, vibe coding, and advanced uses of large language models (LLMs) in academic and professional contexts which emphasize creativity and exploration. The course also examines the ethical implications of A1, focusing on topics such as bias, privacy, and accountability.
