This advanced seminar in qualitative inquiry builds on foundational research methods by equipping students with deeper expertise in data analysis, interpretation, and methodological rigor. Emphasizing the development of robust protocols, students will design and refine interview guides, focus group protocols, and instruments for a variety of qualitative data collection strategies. The course introduces advanced approaches to coding, thematic analysis, and interpretive frameworks, while also addressing issues of researcher positionality, reflexivity, and ethical considerations. Through applied projects and peer feedback, students will strengthen their ability to craft methodologically sound and innovative qualitative studies that address complex educational and social research questions.
