Explores the human quest for meaning and significant aspects of the human experience through study in the liberal arts disciplines of literature, philosophy, religion, the social and natural sciences, and the fine arts. In this multidisciplinary course, students complete assigned readings and write analytic and reflective essays for each class session. A research essay and an in-class final examination are required.
