Explores the rapidly evolving world of artificial intelligence (AI) and its impact on how we live, learn, work, and define ourselves. The interdisciplinary honors course introduces students to the foundations of AI, machine learning, large models (LLMS), and key computer science principles while examining what it means to be human in an increasingly intelligent digital world. Through hands-on projects, critical writing, experiementation, and debate, students will analyze the functions and implications of emerging AI tools, Guest speakers from healthcare, business, education, and the humanities will share diverse perspectives on how AI is reshaping disciplines, practices, and ethics. More than a technical overview, the course challenges students to reflect on AI's influence on identity, creativity, power, privacy, and quality--asking not only how AI works, but how we work alongside it. Prerequisite: Morrissy Honors student. Fulfills the general education requirement for engaged citizenship. [ 3 credits ]
