The integration of Physical activity into deaily routines supports biological, psychological, social and spiritual well-being, helping to provide a holistic approach to manage and prevent chronic disease and promoe health. Pathways through which physical activity enhances health and well-being are discussed along with the current evidence-base for positive health outcomes and harms. Students learn to integrate physical activity plans into personal and group care plans through discussions case studies, plan developments and self-reflection. [3 credits]
