Notre Dame of Maryland University enables a full-time student to complete the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching degree and to fulfill state licensure requirements within five years.
For the Elementary Education option, students complete the Bachelor of Arts Major for their baccalaureate degree and the Master of Arts in Leadership in Teaching (LDT) in the final year. LDT options include the following:
- Cultural Proficiency
- Differentiated Instruction
- Digital Technology
- ESOL (MATESOL)
- Library Media Specialist
- Mathematics for Instructional Leadership
- Literacy Specialist
- Spanish
- Special Education- Exceptionalities
- STEM
For the Secondary Education option, students complete a major in an academic discipline for their baccalaureate degree with a minor in education and the Master of Arts in Leadership in Teaching in the final year or students complete their major in an academic discipline for their baccalaureate degree and their Master of Arts in Teaching for initial licensure in the final year.
Students must meet with their academic advisor before selecting a pathway.
