In addition to general admission requirements and additional requirements as per the School where the graduate program resides, international applicants must:
- Be able to qualify for the F-1 student visa;
- Submit certified, transcribed and evaluated transcripts of undergraduate study equivalent at least to a U.S. bachelor's degree (an official course by course evaluated transcript, performed by a NACES member provider;
- Submit a completed Affidavit of Support form that indicates ability to fully finance the program of study;
- Submit the official results/scores from one of the following English proficiency tests. A student will be exempt submitting scores if: a) a student has an undergraduate degree in English or b) a student’s undergraduate language of instruction was in English either in the U.S. or abroad.
- TOEFL iBT score of 80 or greater
- IELTS score of 6.5 or greater
- DUOLINGO score of 110 or greater
- Proof of successful completion of an English composition course at a U.S.-accredited college or university
Upon acceptance to the university, international students must prove eligibility for maintaining visa status while enrolled. Students who plan to obtain an F-1 Visa must complete a Form I-20 upon confirmation of the following criteria:
- Complete an NDMU International Student Intake Form providing necessary information for the creation of an I-20.
- Complete an NDMU University International Student Financial Willingness Statement.
- Complete an NDMU University International Student Documentation Submission Form.
- Provide a color copy of your current unexpired Passport.
- Provide an official document signed by a banking official indicating the current amount of funds to be used for your cost of attendance at NDMU. All figures should be in U.S. dollars. Federal and state financial aid is not available to international students. However, limited institutional scholarships are available as well as external scholarships and private/alternative student loans.
IMPORTANT:
Once enrolled, undergraduate students in the United States on an F-1 Visa must remain a full-time student by taking a minimum of 12 credits per semester each year.
