Lecture 100% in Person
Practicum II transitions students into policy design, where they synthesize research and best practices into actionable proposals for multiple audiences. Students will write chapter two of their PPLIP paper in this course, which consists of a policy proposal and various white papers addressed to different stakeholders to outline the policy for them. This is not a theoretical policy proposal, but one that addresses a real need in their organization and could realistically be implemented. The policy proposal will draw on relevant theory and research for the student's course work and residency. Further, students will have the option to create no more than one white paper in an alternative format (e.g. podcast, graphic novel format), to reach a different audience. [ 3 credits ]
