Explores the history and diversity of African and African Diaspora Christianity. Students will examine how the interaction between the beliefs and practices of African Traditional Religions and Christianity impacted the development of a diversity in African Christian practices and denominations. Students will examine how African Christianity spread to and developed in the Americas. Prerequisite: RST-105. This course fulfills the general education requirements for upper-level Religious Studies and Intercultural Knowledge. [ 3 credits ]
