In Fundamentals of Biomedicine II, students are introduced to the cellular, molecular, and biochemical aspects of the immune system and explore basic principles of immunity, clinical characteristics and pathologenesis of immune conditions, and infectious disease. Students identify and examine microorganisms associated with human disease, including epidemiology, modes of transmission, virulence, general pathology of bacteria, viruses, parasites, and fungi.
