This course introduces graduate nursing students to essential principles of healthcare finance, including foundational accounting concepts, financial management practices, and the role of discal stewardship in nursing leadership. Emphasis is placed on developing the ability to read, interpret, and analyze operating and capital budgets within clinical and organizational settings. Designed for nurse leaders without a formal financial back ground, the course equips students with the knowledge and practical tools needed to apply financial concepts to decision-making, resource allocation, and strategic planning in healthcare environments.
