This course is an opportunity for the nutrition student to delve deeper into laboratory and biochemical assessments that assist the multi-dimensional and integrative nutrition practice. Through the exploration of blood, tissue and genomic testing, students will deepen their understanding of mitochondrial dysfunction, detoxification and biotransformation, hormone and neurotransmitter imbalances, digestive and immune dysfunction, and nutritional genomics. Students will be challenged to critically interpret and analyze clinical findings. Prerequisites: one of the following: NUTR-633 or NUTR-635. [ 2 credits ]
