Nutritional needs vary significantly throughout the human life cycle. Students examine the physiological and pathophysiological changes that occur from preconception through older adulthood, and the role that nutrition plays in supporting health and development at each stage. The influence of biological, social, behavioral, cultural, and environmental factors on nutritional status and outcomes are explored. Students engage in case-based learning and academic discussions, applying evidence-based concepts to complex, real-world scenarios in life cycle nutrition. Prerequisites: One of the following: NUTR-612 or NUTR-613. [ 3 credits ]
