This is the second of a two-semester Phamaceutics course sequence with an integrated laboratory component. This course will concentrate on physical, chemical and biological principles that govern the formulation, stability and delivery of various solids, semisolids, transdermal, deterogeneous liquid and aerosol dosage forms along with biologics and biotech products. In the laboratory setting, students will develop, evaluate, document and label various compounded products. At the end of this course, students will gain knowledge of various dosage forms and skills in compounding for optimal patient care. Corequisite: PHRD-324, Pharmaceutics II. [ 0 credits ]
