Pharmacotherapeutics (PT) is a team-taught series of courses, combining material from major content areas, including pathophysiology, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, and therapeutics. In this Pulmonary, Ophthalmic, and Dermatologic Disorders Pharmacotherapeutics course, students will learn the pathophysiology and management of common respiratory conditions, such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD) as well as ocular and skin disorders like glaucoma and acne. Through lectures, utilization of the pharmacists patient care process, and interactive case-based disucssions, students will develop proficiency to appropriately manage patient care and medication treatment of pulmonary disorders.
