This elective course is one of six courses needed to fulfill requirements for the certificate in entrepreneurship program in the School of Pharmacy. The course will introduce students to foundational concepts in accounting and finance, while providing an opportunity to engage with financial tools useful in investment and financial decision making. Concepts of venture capital and approaches to obtaining financial support for a new initiative, with a particular emphasis on healthcare, will be covered. Lecture three hours per week.
